Dr. Charles Alessi is a GP in London, England and Senior Advisor to Public Health England. This role also encompasses being lead for dementia, national director of Antibiotic prescribing, and various other senior national positions within the organization.
He has extensive experience of the National Health Service (NHS) in a variety of senior positions in both primary and secondary care as well as Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and Health Authorities and is the immediate past Chairman of the National Association of Primary Care (NAPC), part of the NHS confederation.
Dr. Alessi has extensive experience of working at senior levels both nationally and internationally, in Europe and the Americas. As Chair of the NAPC, he is at the heart of health reform and internationally he has been active in advising both governments and international organizations. He also has experience of military medicine acting as Director of Medicine and Clinical Governance for the British Armed Forces in Germany.
