Dr. Renata Axler has worked as a Research Associate with the World Health Innovation Network (WIN) since August, 2015. Her research with WIN has focussed on innovation procurement, examining the processes, enablers, and barriers of these processes in healthcare systems in Ontario. Renata holds a Masters degree in Bioethics from the University of Sydney, Australia, and a PhD from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation in collaboration with the Joint Centre for Bioethics at the University of Toronto, where her work examined entrepreneurial initiatives amongst publicly-funded biomedical scientists in Canada. This work received several awards and recognitions and was funded by a number of scholarships and grants. Renata has long standing research interests and a track record in health innovation policy and ethics, and brings her unique skillset to WIN as part of the research team.
