Carolyn Cross

Carolyn Cross is one of the initial founders and financial supporters of Ondine Biomedical Inc., and currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Vancouver-based company. She has over 30 years’ experience with public market securities and over 25 years’ experience working with early stage companies, with a background in finance and institutional investing. Previously, Ms. Cross was responsible for managing mutual funds, pension funds, pooled funds and discretionary private client portfolios as a Vice President with Royal Bank Investment Management Inc., the fund management arm of the Royal Bank of Canada.

Ms. Cross currently serves on a number of corporate boards including Greystone Managed Investments Inc. and Cayoose Creek Development Ltd., a wholly owned First Nations company based in British Columbia. She is a Board Member and Treasurer of the International Photodynamic Association (IPA) and a Founder of the PanAmerican Photodynamic Association. Ms. Cross currently serves on the National Research Council of Canada and is a past Board Director and member of the Audit Committee of the Canada Foundation of Innovation.

She is a founding member of the Ernst & Young Global Women in Business Advisory Council and Member of the Advisory Council of GroYourBiz, a national organization assisting Canadian Women Entrepreneurs. She is a Founder, Chair and Board Member of the Women’s Economic Business Advisory Council. Ms. Cross holds a CFA designation, an MBA from York University, and an Honours in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
