Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Transform Diagnostic Oncology

The Eastern Caribbean Diagnostic Oncology Community of Practice is transforming Diagnostic Pathology Services. Through regional and international collaboration, they are establishing an oncology diagnostic network across nine Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Caribbean Islands to support best practice diagnosis, build capacity for oncology diagnostic services to enable patients to receive care in their own communities, while also strengthening quality of care to improve outcomes.

Innovation in automated tracking and traceability of pathology lab processes has been found to strengthen the quality and accuracy of diagnoses, to enable pathology consultations using digital technologies and to improve work processes for pathologists and their teams to increase accuracy, efficiency and quality of diagnosis for patients.
